Building Momentum for California’s Veterans

There's a lot happening at the VetFund Foundation, and we wanted to share a few updates on the work underway and what’s ahead. As we continue working to support veterans and military families across California, we’re proud to highlight the partnerships, advocacy efforts, and events driving our mission forward.

🤝 Growing Partnerships

We’re excited to be strengthening partnerships with organizations doing important work for veterans across California, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the San Diego Military Advisory Council (SDMAC).

These relationships help expand our reach, deepen our impact, and create more opportunities to support service members, veterans, and their families through advocacy, collaboration, and community connection.

We’ve also continued advancing our work internally, including welcoming Julian Cañete as the new VetFund Chair and expanding partnerships with organizations that share our mission.

🇺🇸 Advocating at the Capitol

Supporting veterans through public policy remains a core part of our mission.

This year, VetFund is supporting legislation focused on issues that matter to veterans and military families, including tax relief, disabled veteran property tax exemptions, education benefits for dependents, and recognition of women’s military service. These efforts are aimed at improving long-term financial stability, access to benefits, and recognition for those who have served.

⛳ Looking Ahead: VetFund Invitational

We are looking forward to one of our favorite events of the year, the VetFund Invitational, this August.

The Invitational brings together leaders, partners, and supporters who care deeply about strengthening California’s veteran community, and we would love for you to be part of it. This year’s event will once again bring tog
